Counting down to Earth Day, counting on current and future conservationists

Dear Healthy Planeteers,

In the countdown to Earth Day, Healthy Planet is gearing up for Earth Day lesson plans to be taught in schools across the UK. Having spoken with and sent our free teaching resources to primary schools, we hope that young students everywhere are learning about environmental issues as well as about the changes that they can make in their everyday live for a better future, starting with Earth Day 2010.

But this 22 April isn’t just about Healthy Planet lesson plans. It’s about making small changes with global implications. Our conservationist friends agree that every water drop saved, every aluminum can recycled, and ever carbon emission reduced will lead to a healthier planet. We want our future planeteers to understand their impact on the world in which they live and these lesson plans are our means to doing so.

Healthy Planet patron and Conservationist, Nigel Marven (Walking with Dinosaurs) is helping launch these lesson plains. Join Nigel Marven in educating the conservationists of tomorrow by telling your local primary school about our free teaching resources.

Three days to go,

Healthy Planet
